The complete Chandos catalogue will become available on all streaming platforms worldwide from January 2018.

The six-month quarantine which was applied to streaming platforms will be entirely removed from this date, and the company’s previous and future releases will be released on platforms including Apple Music, Spotify, Deezer, Qobuz, Primephonic, Idagio and Tidal.

The independent recording company is best known for recording neglected repertoire, and has released surveys of the work of composers including Prokofiev, Tchaikovsky, Parry, Walton, Grainger, Berkeley, and Bridge.

Although streaming remains a hot topic of debate in the classical music industry, Chandos is the latest in a number of labels to take the plunge; ECM Records announced that it would be entering the streaming market only last month.
