Northampton Symphony Orchestra is a high standard
amateur orchestra of 70-80 regular members. We rehearse on Wednesday evenings throughout the school year in Northampton and give 6 concerts a season. Our present conductor is standing down after 8 successful seasons with us. We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and enthusiastic conductor to take us forward.

St Cecilia Chorus was founded in 1922 as the Banstead Musical Society. We are a mixed choir of around 75 singers and have a well-earned reputation for the performance of a wide variety of music to a high standard, accompanied by professional orchestras and soloists.
Concerts planned for the 2008/09 season include visits to Chichester Cathedral, The Menuhin Hall and St Andrew's Church, Cheam. Concerts are performed three or four times a year and rehearsals are on Thursday evenings in Banstead.

Opera Now, the world's leading opera magazine, is seeking to appoint an Editorial Assistant to join its in-house team at its London headquarters.
You will be supporting the Editor and Deputy Editor in the day-to-day running of a very busy international magazine and you will need to be hard-working, full of initiative and organised. Proficient computer skills and a knowledge of database maintenance are vital.
This is a junior post, and so editorial experience, although desirable, is not mandatory. However a willingness to learn is essential, along with a demonstrable enthusiasm for opera and excellent writing skills. The job requires some flexibility and candidates should show willingness to attend performances and press conferences outside office hours. Availability for travel from time to time is also desirable.
