RSCM appoints new Council members

The Royal School of Church Music has welcomed two new members to its governing body.   

Rowan Morton Gledhill has been involved in church and cathedral music throughout her life, and in her career as a broadcaster and journalist has produced over 50 edition’s of BBC TV’s Songs of Praise programmes.   

Robin Thomas trained as a classical musician in Canada and served on the boards of the Association of Canadian Choral Conductors and the British Columbia Choral Federation. He will also bring to Council his experience as managing director of Morgen Thomas Ltd, which provides fundraising consultancy and project management services to government, public and voluntary organisations worldwide.   

RSCM Council chair Lord Gill commented, ‘Rowan brings to the RSCM considerable skills and experience in modern-day media and communications. And as one of Europe’s most experienced consultants, we are very fortunate indeed to have Robin to advise on fundraising and other matters. We welcome them both.’
