ABO/RHINEGOLD CLASSICAL MUSIC INDUSTRY AWARDS
We are delighted to announce that the first ABO/Rhinegold Awards will be presented at the ABO Conference dinner on Wed 18 January 2012.
The three categories are as follows:
ORCHESTRA MANAGER OF THE YEAR
For the CEO or other senior manager who has taken his or her orchestra or organisation forward through inspirational leadership within the previous concert season (September to August).
CONCERT HALL MANAGER OF THE YEAR
For the CEO or other senior manager who has taken his or her organisation forward through inspirational leadership within the previous concert season (September to August).
ARTIST MANAGER OF THE YEAR
For the artist manager who the classical music industry, including orchestras, concert halls, promoters and artist managers, believes has displayed within the previous concert season (September to August) notable artistic imagination and creativity beyond the booking of engagements for individual artists, made a special contribution in the field of orchestral touring in the UK or abroad, has a long-term record of distinction in the artist management business, demonstrated outstanding ability in the field of promoting younger artists, made a particular contribution to international relations within the profession, or is the best emerging artist manager of the year.
Nominations should be made in writing using the award nomination forms below. The written statement of up to 500 words should include the reasons for the nomination, the quality of the individual's work, his/her managerial skills, achievements in the 12-month period and the ongoing benefits to the organisation.
Closing date for nominations is Friday 9 December 2011.
