ReLIVE the recital – 10 June 2015

Violinist Jennifer Pike was the youngest ever winner of BBC Young Musician, aged just 12 when she was awarded the title in 2002. Her appearance at Rhinegold LIVE marked the culmination of a tour exploring music written around the time of the First World War, alongside music with an Austro-Hungarian theme. Accompanied by pianist Peter Limonov, Jennifer performed some of her favourite music for violin and piano including Vaughan Williams’s The Lark Ascending, Kreisler’s Praeludium and Allegro and Rózsa’s Variations on a Hungarian peasant song.
