Sam Haywood has performed to critical acclaim in many of the world’s major concert halls. The Washington Post hailed his ‘dazzling, evocative playing’ and ‘lyrical sensitivity’ and the New York Times his ‘passionate flair and sparkling clarity’.

For Hyperion he has recorded the piano works of Russian pianist-composer Julius Isserlis, (grandfather of cellist Steven Isserlis) and this recital launches his forthcoming Stanford Preludes release, for which he has received glowing reviews:

‘Sam Haywood […] does this repertoire absolutely proud; possessing a pleasingly rounded tone, sensitivity to dynamic nuance and flawless technical address, his is a decidedly superior brand of pianism.’ Gramophone

‘Sam Haywood plays these intensely rewarding miniatures with just the right amount of swagger and flair.’ The Guardian
