Widely acclaimed for key operatic title roles in the UK and abroad, the ‘deeply touching, outstanding’ (The Guardian) soprano Mary Bevan, the ‘elegant yet intense, impeccable’ (The Guardian) tenor Ben Johnson, and the ‘increasingly impressive’ (The Financial Times) bass-baritone Ashley Riches joined pianist David Owen Norris for a unique programme of songs by English composer Sir Arthur Sullivan. The programme drew on a wide variety of poets and texts, launching Chandos’s latest Sullivan recording.

This concert was be preceded by a complimentary drinks reception for ticket holders and followed by an informal Q&A with the artists conducted by Ashutosh Khandekar, editor of Opera Now.
