
Andrew Litton: A Child is Born by Thad Jones, arr. Oscar Peterson

World-renowned conductor Andrew Litton swapped his baton for a grand piano on 2 June 2014 in a special tribute concert to the legendary jazz pianist Oscar Peterson. Performing transcriptions of Peterson’s own arrangements of jazz greats for piano, Andrew showcased ten dazzlingly virtuosic favourites including ‘A Child is Born’, ‘Round Midnight’ and ‘Lulu’s Back in Town’ which are available to hear below. The concert marked the launch of Andrew’s latest CD release, A Tribute to Oscar Peterson.
