3rd International Harpsichord Competition of Milan11:18, 21st December 2020
The 3rd International Harpsichord Competition of Milan will be held from 25-28 July 2021, organised by the Associazione Culturale La Cappella Musicale.
The competition is open to applicants of any nationality who have not turned 31 years of age by 15 February 2020.
Pre-selection will be done on the basis of recordings of specified works by Michelangelo Rossi, J.S. Bach and Jean-Philippe Rameau; these should be submitted with the application, sent to email@example.com.
The pre-selection jury comprises Maurizio Croci, Céline Frisch and Lorenzo Ghielmi.
Twelve candidates will be admitted to the semi-final round, which will take place in Milan on 27 July. Four instruments will be available: a two-manual French harpsichord with two keyboards, a two-manual German harpsichord with two keyboards, a virginal, and an Italian harpsichord.
Five competitors will be admitted to the final round, to be held on 28 July.
The winner of the 1st prize will receive €3,000 plus a series of concerts; 2nd prize is €2,000 and 3rd prize is €1,000.
