Applications open for Le Jardin des Voix

On 10 October, Les Arts Florissants announced that applications are now open for their international baroque academy for young singers.

Le Jardin des Voix, an academy for young singers, specialises in music from the 17th and 18th centuries and is based in Pays de la Loire, France. The 2021 season to which candidates will be applying marks the 10th edition of the baroque academy, beginning on 3 August 2021. Successful applicants will perform at Dans les Jardins de William Christie festival, as well as take part in an international tour with Les Arts Florissants.

Dedicated to Partenope by George Frideric Handel, this edition of Le Jardin des Voix is open to undergraduate and postgraduate singers, or of an equivalent level. Applicants must be born on or after 31 December 1990, therefore under the age of 30 at the end of December 2021.

Applications are open from 10 October to 19 November 2019 and auditions will take place in the following locations after the shortlist is announced on 9 December:

Paris – 16-21 January 2020
New York – 10-12 March 2020
London – 16-29 March 2020
Hong Kong – 6-7 May 2020
