Voces8 opens the festival at 7pm BST today performing music from Gibbons and Monteverdi through to the world premiere performance of Marten Jansson’s Elemental Elegy.
The performances are filmed in HD at Kings Place and the Church of St Anne & St Agnes, in central London.
The festival will be broadcast online at 7pm BST / 2pm ET every Saturday for ten weeks from 1 August.
Season tickets for the whole event cost £80 / €90 / US$100 / AU$145 / JP¥10,500, aiming to raise funds to help cover losses suffered as a result of Covid19. A portion of all tickets sold will be put towards funding for grassroots music education and to addressing topics of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in choral music.
Ticket holders will be able to watch live at 2pm ET | 7pm BST and/or on demand from the date of broadcast until 3 October, and in addition will be granted viewing rights to the full 4K, post-produced concert film(s) from 4-31 October.
