Oxford University Press launches Advent Competition for choirs

11:12, 10th November 2017

Oxford University Press is inviting choirs to film themselves performing an OUP carol for its new choral competition.

Performances will be judged on creativity and originality by a panel including John Rutter.

Prizes include a set of limited-edition, hand-signed vocal scores of one of John Rutter’s earliest compositions, The Shepherd’s Pipe Carol, celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, and a copy of the brand new King’s Singers album ‘GOLD’ for every member of the choir.

The competition closes on 8 December. Runners up will be announced through the Oxford Choral Facebook page on 23 December, and the grand prize winners revealed on 24 December.

To find out more, visit the OUP Choral Facebook page or the special competition webpage for full terms and conditions, prize details, tips and advice on filming your entry, and more.
