University of Glasgow Chapel Choir honours former director

8:28, 20th June 2018

The University of Glasgow Chapel Choir has released a new recording, We Were Glad, in memory of former director Dr Stuart Campbell.

The recordings date from 2000 and were conducted by Dr Campbell in the final year of his 25-year tenure as director. The album features a commemorative anthem by Scottish Opera founder Robin Orr, contemporary compositions by John Gormley and Graham Hair, and the motet ‘In convertendo’ by little-known 16th-century composer Patrick Douglas.

The recording is available as a download, with extensive liner notes. All proceeds will be donated to Marie Curie Cancer Care.
