Australian Chamber Orchestra set for Barbican residency

The Australian Chamber Orchestra (ACO) will return to London for the first of three seasons in residence as International Associate Ensemble at the Barbican.

They will perform three concerts between 22-24 October:

  • Mozart’s last three symphonies (Nos 39, 40, and 41)
  • Mountain: an evening of music by Beethoven, Chopin, and Arvo Pärt as accompaniment to the UK premiere of Mountain, the ACO’s acclaimed film collaboration. Featuring words from Robert MacFarlane, cinematography from Renan Ozturk and narration from William Dafoe
  • Bach, Beethoven and Bartók, featuring a guest performance from Australian soprano Nicole Car and students from the Guildhall School of Music
