Guildhall School appoints András Keller as Béla Bartók International Chair1:47, 17th May 2018
The Guildhall School of Music & Drama has appointed András Keller as Béla Bartók International Chair in recognition of his world-class performing career and services to music.
The professor of violin began teaching at the Guildhall School in January 2016. Prior to this, he was head of the chamber music department at his alma mater, the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Hungary.
In addition, he has been artistic director and chief conductor of Concerto Budapest, formerly known as the Hungarian Symphony Orchestra, and artistic director of the International Sándor Végh String Quartet Competition. He is also a prolific recording artist.
