John Armitage Memorial Trust call for new music

12:48, 10th October 2018

The John Armitage Memorial trust (JAM) is asking for submissions of music for choir, brass quintet and organ – in any combination.

Successful submissions will be performed at JAM’s 2019 season launch concert at St Bride’s Church, London, on 21 March. Performers will include the choir of Selwyn College Cambridge, Onyx Brass and organist Simon Hogan.

All the music performed will be professionally recorded, and the concert will be attended by the general public, publishers, commissioners, concert/festival managers and the media. The event is therefore a rich forum for development and networking.

Compositions must not exceed 10 minutes in duration, and must be written by composers over 18 who were born, are living or studying in the UK.

The deadline is Wednesday 12 December at 5pm.
