Singing for Syria campaign3:37, 24th October 2018
Singing for Syria is a nationwide campaign from the Hands Up Foundation that encourages the public to hold and attend concerts in aid of some of Syria’s most vulnerable people.
Last year’s campaign raised £134,000 with over 80 events around the country, including a flashmob in London Marylebone station. This year the campaign is aiming to raise £150,000. A flagship carol concert will take place at St Margaret’s, Westminster on 11 December with readers and soloists including Sophie Winkleman, Harry Enfield and Jane Asher.
All the money raised goes towards the Hands Up Foundation’s projects in Syria, including a Primary Health Clinic in Aleppo, a medical training project in Idlib City and a prosthetic limb clinic.
