The XI International Clavichord Symposium has made a call for papers for its 2013 event. The International Centre for Clavichord Studies (ICCS), based in Magnano, Italy, hosts the bi-annual symposium which is attended by makers, performers and scholars of the clavichord.

The ICCS committee is requesting proposals for papers with topics focusing on Carl Phillip Emanuel Bach, the clavichord’s importance in relation to other keyboard instruments and other relevant topics. The deadline for proposals to be made to the committee is 28 February 2013.

The symposium will host a series of morning lectures throughout the five-day event, which will be accompanied by short recitals, and  full-length concerts will take place in the evenings. The event will also present a display of instruments. The XI International Clavichord Symposium will be held on 3-7 September 2013.
