The Early Music Shop is to host its first Harp Weekend, as part of the Saltaire Festival. The event will include recitals, tuition and workshops. There will also be an  illustrated talk with representatives from Camac Harps France, who will be offering harp service and regulation, as well as handy advice.

The programme of events for the weekend includes:

Friday 7 September
10am-5 pm – Camac Harps: offering harp regulation, advice and exhibition of harps
7pm- Harp Recital: with Louise Thomson. Music for lever and pedal harps. Sponsored by Camac Harps France. Tickets £10

Saturday 8 September
10am-5 pm – Camac Harps: offering harp regulation, advice and exhibition of harps
10am-12pm – Medieval/Tudor Harp Workshop: with Sarah Deere-Jones. Tickets £8
1pm-3pm – Children’s Harp Workshop: with Louise Thomson. Tickets £5
3pm-4pm – History of The Harp: Illustrated Talk with Sarah – Deere-Jones. Free admission
7pm – Harp Recital: Sarah Deere-Jones. Tudor music for gothic and medieval harps and  traditional, classical and jazz on lever harp. Tickets £10

Sunday 9  September
10am-3pm – Celtic/Lever Harp Workshop: with Sarah Deere-Jones. Tickets £10
