Russian pianist Alexander Malofeev (aged 17) has signed a management agreement with the Berlin office of major international artist management firm Opus 3 Artists.
Malofeev, who had first made worldwide headlines at age 13 when he won the Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians, is widely considered one of the greater talents among younger pianists. At his young age, he has already appeared at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Teatro alla Scala, Philharmonie de Paris, Bunka Kaikan in Tokyo, NCPAA in Beijing, Théâtre des Champs-Elysées and at the prestigious Rheingau Musik Festival.
Conductors such as Valery Gergiev and Vladimir Spivakov are among his most active mentors, and he has been invited to perform with Myung-Whun Chung, Gábor Takács-Nagy, Kazuki Yamada and Alondra de la Parra.
