Tido launches Educational Piano

2:49, 29th August 2017

Tido has added an Educational Piano collection to its iPad app.

The collection features a range of music, from compositions created to help pianists to build on their technique to fun pieces which students will enjoy playing.

The app is constantly updated, with new pieces released each week. These include pieces selected by the major examination boards and music from leading educational composers such as Pam Wedgwood and Paul Harris.

All of the scores from Faber Music’s education catalogue offer automatic page turning, annotation and metronome practice tools.

‘Our technology gives people access to sheet music digitally, enabling them to engage, study and experience it in new ways,’ said Brad Cohen, founder and creative director at Tido. ‘We’re delighted to be working with the team at Faber Music to give users access to these best-selling series in a revolutionary new format.’

‘Fun to play and gently progressive, many of the pieces featured in this collection are designed to improve students’ piano technique,’ said Jack Halsey, head of marketing and communications at Faber Music. ‘We love to provide a choice when it comes to the way our customers can access and use our products, so we’re really excited to offer a selection of our most popular education titles, complete with practice tools and more, on the Tido Music app.’

Tido Music is available from the the iTunes App Store worldwide, with the exception of Japan. Those who download the app can sign up to a free, seven-day trial.
