Rhinegold Media & Events has announced the programme for the Music & Drama Education Expo | Manchester 2018
The free show, which will take place on 11 October 2018, will present a range of best-practice approaches from across the UK, with an emphasis on showcasing the best of Manchester and the North West.
The event will offer 20 free CPD sessions, catering for music and drama teachers of all key stages. Highlights include:
- Strategies for handling performance anxiety with education specialist Dr Ally Daubney
- Stage combat in classroom study with Mark Ruddick, head instructor at Squire Stage Combat
- Teaching music: world perspectives with ethnomusicologist Andy Gleadhill
- Panel debate: supporting the 21st century musician, headed by producer and youth music specialist Max Wheeler
In addition, there will be keynote presentations from Manchester Metropolitan University’s Dr Jonathan Savage on improving the quality of music provision across schools and music hubs, as well as practical workshops with Theatrical Teaching Artists from Disney’s Aladdin and internationally renowned theatre company Frantic Assembly.
