Royal Albert Hall announces technology partnership

8:00, 30th January 2018

The Royal Albert Hall has announced a three-year partnership with Devialet.

The French audio technology company will bring live performances from the Hall to new audiences, as well as enhancing the sound inside Door 6.

Devialet will live-stream performances from the auditorium to education and outreach partners, enabling those outside the venue to experience live concerts in high definition.

The company will also transform Door 6, the venue’s historic grand entrance, enabling latecomers to feel they are already in the main auditorium.

Craig Hassall, chief executive of the Royal Albert Hall, said the partnership would ‘improve the experience of our visitors and bring our concerts to those who might not otherwise get to enjoy them.’
