11:27, 21st April 2017

English National Opera (ENO) and Grange Park Opera (GPO) have announced a three-year partnership, beginning in June 2018.

The ENO Orchestra will play in productions presented by Grange Park Opera at West Horsley Place each year.

ENO music director Martyn Brabbins described the partnership as a ‘fantastic opportunity’ for both companies ‘to enhance their already-excellent artistic profiles, and Grange Park Opera founder and CEO Wasfi Kani said she was ‘thrilled’ by the collaboration, adding that she has admired the ENO Orchestra for 40 years.

Grange Park Opera’s inaugural season at West Horsley Place runs between 11 June and 15 July, and comprises productions of Janácek’s Jenufa, Wagner’s Die Walküre and Puccini’s Tosca, and an evening featuring Bryn Terfel and Zenaida Yanowsky.
