New Generation Festival launches fundraising Action Station12:44, 30th March 2020
The New Generation Festival, based in Florence, has launched The Action Station, featuring daily 15-minute livestreams on Instagram, running every weekday at 4pm (UK time).
The daily Regeneration Broadcasts present a lively selection of performances by new generation opera singers, classical musicians, jazz cats, DJs, drag queens and many more.
Each broadcast aims to raise spirits during the Coronavirus lockdown, but also to help those fighting on the front line against Covid-19 by raising money for specific organisations or causes. There is the opportunity to donate any amount, however small or large, to the weekly cause publicised via the link in NGF’s Instagram profile.
The New Generation Festival (NGF) was founded in 2017 by three British creative entrepreneurs, Maximillian Fane, Roger Granville and Frankie Parham, to promote emerging young artists from around the world, creating an international platform for the most promising young musical talent. Due to take place from 26 to 29 August 2020, the festival presents performances of opera, symphonic music and jazz in the Gardens of the Palazzo Corsini. In September NGF will be launching Mascarade, an innovative new training programme for young artists, incorporating techniques drawn from sports psychology.
