Charlotte Gardner is a freelance writer, critic and journalist. In addition to her work for Classical Music Magazine she reviews baroque and strings for Gramophone, contributes to The Strad, writes concert programme notes for various UK orchestras and is a playlist curator for the specialist classical streaming service, Grammofy. She is the author of the Touch Press classical apps on Liszt’s B minor Piano Sonata with Stephen Hough, and Vivaldi’s Four Seasons with Daniel Hope and Max Richter. She also writes for children, providing family notes for BBC orchestral concerts as well as authoring the World Art expansion to Touch Press’s Barefoot World Atlas. Before turning to writing Charlotte spent eight years in radio and television production at the BBC, the final years of which were with BBC Radio 4’s Today programme.
