Young Vic launches new programme to support emerging theatre makers

12:42, 6th January 2020

The new scheme will give emerging theatre makers and creators the opportunity to share best practice models in sessions co-convened by industry leaders.

Entitled, YV:IDemystify, the programme will run at the Young Vic in January including sessions such as, ‘Breaking Down the Doors’, ‘Directing and Dramaturgy’, ‘Festivals as a pathway for creating new work’ and ‘Emerged, Mid Career, And Then What? Routes for Theatre Makers.’ The free programme will cover various stages of the theatre maker’s career from how to forge an innovative path to writing and producing productions, offering advice and practical guidance for those just starting out and more experienced creators who are looking for some inspiration. The speakers for each event will be announced in due course.

Tickets are available from 6 January onward with the first event of the programme ‘Breaking down the Doors’ taking place on Thursday 23 January.
